What do you love most about Raleigh?
What are a few of your favorite LOCAL restaurants or shops?
We like to dine at the various restaurants in Lafayette Village–Village Grill, Simply Crepes, and Sushi One. For dessert, which is the most important meal of the day, we love Bruster’s homemade ice cream on Durant Road and Pelican’s Snoballs in Wake Forest; both are just a hop, skip, and jump away. Fine dining at Bruno Seafood and Steaks is within the Wakefield neighborhood.
What are some of the best nearby conveniences?
Walgreens, Harris Teeter, many bank choices and daycare options within 5 minutes.
What are your favorite things about your home?
We love turning on the outside speakers with our favorites tunes while lounging in saltwater pool during the summer. Plus, relaxing in the hot tub on the cool fall evenings while watching your favorite sports team on the television make this home one of a kind.
We love to entertain friends and family-the large open floor plan on the main level has plenty of room for everyone and makes it easy to be a part of conversations while serving food and drinks. I also love how the stove faces into the kitchen and family room for everyone and makes it easy to be a part of conversations while serving food and drinks. I also love how the stove faces into the kitchen and family room so I don’t have my back to my family while cooking. I can easily maintain a conversation, help my son with homework or watch the news while preparing meals.
The basement has been a wonderful space for us to relax, play when we’ve had cabin fever from rainy days or cold weather, and guests love the private retreat with the extra quiet bedroom tucked away in the back. Our guests say it makes for the best nights sleep.
The beautiful view of the pool glowing in the in the evening is also one of my favorite features!
