What do you love most about Fuquay Varina? The fact that Fuquay is only a few miles from my home. Fuquay has many great restaurants and has the shopping that is close so you don’t have to drive far to get the things that you need. The amount of parks that Fuquay has for the kids to play at and one very large dog park. One of those parks is South Park where Fuquay just added a splash pad for the kids and that they are spending a large sum of money to upgrade existing parks and build new parks. How close it is to Downtown Raleigh and it is also close to Cary.
What are the best things about your neighborhood? The neighbors themselves, everybody is friendly and will do anything to help you out if you need it. The neighborhood is very quiet. You don’t have to worry about unwanted traffic due to the fact that the subdivision is a one way in, one way out type of subdivision. The ponds in the subdivision are stocked with fish so going down to the pond and fishing is great. The woods behind the ponds have trails so going for a walk in the woods is great.
What are a few of your favorite LOCAL restaurants or shops? The Aviator tap house and their smoke house restaurant are great. Aviator also just opened a beer shop that is stocked with all the different types of beer you can think of, if that is your thing. Assaggio’s Pizzaeria is the best pizza and pasta in Fuquay. Its not local but its nice to have a Home Depot just 8 mile down the road from the house. Even thought its not in Fuquay, Sunny Sky’s Homemade Ice Cream in Angier is the best ice cream anywhere. They are home of the Cold Sweat Ice Cream, its so hot you have to sign a waiver before you can eat it. Sunny Sky’s was on Good Morning America and the Food Network.
What are some of the best nearby conveniences? Home Depot, Walmart, Petsmart, tons of places to eat, and a self server 24 hour dog wash.
What are your favorite things about your home? The garage to start, its not one of those garages that you can only park small cars in. Even with a full size work bench and shelves you can park a full size truck or SUV in it and still have room to close the door and walk all the way around the vehicle. The big back yard. The very large raised bed garden that has a build in drip line watering system that is fed by three 55 gallon rain barrels. You can grow as many fruits and vegetables as you would like. The bay window in the kitchen it lets in a great amount of light. All the back doors, including the rear garage door are masonite doors with pvc frames so they will never rot and they all have built in blinds. The back deck view. If you are sitting on the back deck you get a great view of the ponds. My favorite place to sit in the evening is the front porch, it even has a outdoor ceiling fan to keep those North Carolina bugs off of you during the summer.
